Hi folks !
As you probably all know from reading what Armand wrote on this page, I got my Savage from Holland to Finland last week. And thanks to my new friend Armand (whom I found on this page, great site, isn't it !?) I also managed to find a Savage for my apprentice (not wife). It is true that I am a blacksmith, it is not a made-up signature. I forge all sorts of things from gates, railings, candlesticks, hinges, knives, axes and nails to jewellry of damascus steel. I live in Finland, a bit on the side of the rest of the world you might think, but it also has certain advantages.
Very few criminals and lots of honest, nice people.
I decided to join the Dutch Savage-club, since it seems to be the biggest and best-organized in the world. The only slight drawback is the language...
I would like to send my thanks to Ger ter Beek in Holland who found, testrode and arranged for me to collect my Black Pearl, and to Armand Marechal who helped with the same enthusiasm to find the bike for my apprentice Liselott, and even rode it over 300km to the German-Dutch border so we could put it in the van and still make it to the ferry from Sweden to Finland 2000km:s away. You sure are fine men, wish there where more people like you in this world.
Ugh, I have spoken.
